Another beautiful & traditional stone that Porcea Stone has replicated in porcelain is travertine. Travertine is a natural stone that is used throughout middle-east and Asia, as it is light in tone and the natural properties prevent significant absorption of heat on the surface.
One of the drawbacks of natural travertine are tiny holes on the surface of the stone, which can get dirty over time and also retain water, potentially causing challenges in freeze-thaw cycles.
Porcea Travertino solves all of these problems as it is a porcelain tile that looks like traditional travertine natural stone, but retains all of the benefits of outdoor porcelain:
- Will not absorb any water
- Will not stain although it is lighter in shade
- Dense and durable enough to resist chemicals and salts
